Driving For a Living

After running my own business for so many years, I am finding that I love the routine of working regular hours during the day. For the past few years, it's been great sharing my office skills that I developed for running a home based business, and also learning additional skills in a conventional office setting.
During my last role as an accounts payable analyst, I ended up working for an amazing company that is growing faster than they expected when they interviewed me. The accounts payable role, while wildly gratifying and interesting, needed a leader who was willing to put in more time on a regular basis than I can healthfully maintain. I didn't mind putting in lots of extra evening and weekend hours at first, but the culture there is able to handle this kind of overtime ongoing. Since they are growing so fast, the company was happy to let me go while they implement another system and bring on another leader who is able to put in more time without sacrificing their health & well-being.
I'm now campaigning for a permanent position to help businesses make money during regular working hours. While I am looking, I've decided to start a ride/share business. There is a lot to it, more than just having fun driving people around.
It will be weird having my own business again, but ride/share offers work flexibility while I look for a brand new team of leaders to serve. And I'll be bringing in a little money until my new role is made evident.
